  • Is This Trip Right for Me?

    • Wheelchairs: Please understand some sites on this itinerary may not accessible and may need to be forfeit. A companion to help with the wheelchair must accompany the guest.
    • Age Limit: For quality concerns, guests should be 8 years or older to join this tour
    • Dietary Restrictions: Following our tradition of encouraging our guests to “savor the world,” we arrange delicious local menus, but many restaurants cannot meet custom preferences. If you have a serious meal restriction (i.e., fatal allergy, vegetarian, etc.), please let us know before booking and we can check if it can be accommodated.
    • Transportation: On our private bus, a limited number of seats near the front will be reserved for guests who are prone to motion sickness. Other seats will be rotated periodically.
    • Local Climate & Conditions:
      • Roads in rural and wildlife areas are bumpy and dusty. While we do our best to provide a comfortable travel experience, be advised that game drive vehicles have no air conditioning and travel slow due to the terrain.
      • We will cross the border and depart to Kenya on Day 7. The time for immigration clearance procedures will be determined by border personnel.
      • The vehicles we arrange for game drive are 4x4 Land Cruiser shared by 4-6 passengers and guide. The guide will be alternating between vehicles throughout each game drive journey.
  • Accommodations:
    • Most reserved rooms are TWIN (2 bed) rooms. Please let us know if you require a DOUBLE (1 large bed) for the entirety of the tour - we will try our best to accommodate. Otherwise, rooms will be TWIN (2 bed) rooms.
    • If you have special requirements, please inform us at time of booking so we may make arrangements as soon as possible.
    • For guest privacy and security considerations, we do not have single sharing arrangements.
  • Vaccine:
    • Please complete the vaccination and obtain the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (Yellow Book) 2 months before the tour departure and bring it to Tanzania and Kenya with you for random checks.
    • Yellow Fever vaccinations are currently limited in the United States. Please contact your local clinic ahead of time to make sure the vaccine is available in your area.
    • For more information, refer to the Yellow Fever Vaccine Clinic Information provided by the US Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention.
  • Visas:
    • Please apply for your Tanzania visa & Kenya ETA at least 30 days prior to the departure date. The cost of the Tanzania visa is US$100 & Kenya eTA is US$32.5 (subject to change).

      • The maximum luggage weight allowance is 23kg (50lbs) for checked luggage and (5kg) 11lbs for a carry-on bag.
      • The overall size restriction is 70cm x 60cm x 35cm (27in x 24in x 13in) for checked luggage and 30 x 23 x 53cm (12in x 9in x 20in) for a carry-on bag.
      • Weight and size limits are strictly enforced by airlines in Kenya
    • Game drive vechicles space is limited, it is recommend to use soft case type luggage
  • Flights and Luggage:
    • Some airlines charge a fee for pre-assigned seats. If so, we will let you know the details at time of booking.
    • If you are booking your own tickets, we recommend reserving at least 3 hours connecting time between international airports.
    • Luggage allowances will vary based on the rules for each airline. Excess baggage fees are the responsibility of the traveler.
