My recent tour with Supera to Peru has been as memorable as my last two (Hokkaido, Taiwan), but this one stands out, so I decide to write about it. Due to its altitude and terrain, Peru/Machu Picchu poses a particular challenge to an ordinary traveler like myself. Trip design is excellent and well-paced; they include top-notch hotels and exquisite cuisine. All our tour guides are great. Special shout-out to our tour leader, Manu. He is responsive, resourceful, and attentive to detail. The sunrise at Lago Titicaca is well planned and memorable (hot coffee and a warm fire pit, wow). Would I travel with Supera again? Absolutely!

Just got back from Peru. Lodgings were outstanding, food was delicious and varied, guides and fellow travelers became good friends (many thanks to Manu and Javier), and the experience was spectacular. Incan and pre-Colombian relics and ruins need to be seen to be truly appreciated. Our second tour with Supera turned out to be as memorable as the first!

It was awesome that we could take our time and were not rushed. It was a difficult hike (Huayna Picchu) to do at high altitude but making it to the top was worth it. We managed to make down barely in time for check out but it was great that the couple behind us was able to get an extension on their check out time. It was great that Manu was able to go up the mountain with us. He was a big help with the slower group.

I want to say mahalo AGAIN for doing such an excellent job in guiding us through the amazing tour of Peru and returning us safely back home. Your warm personality and cheerfulness that greeted us every morning pushed us to our physical limits on the climbs.....of which I’m sure I lost some brain cells from lack of oxygen.....but now we can all say “been there-done that!!”
